Blendz Opens New Express at the Saratoga Classic Car Wash

It's not very often that a match made in heaven pops up, but when one does, it's hard not to notice. The days are getting longer, and the weather will be getting warmer, and as it does, more and more people will be visiting the area's most recent heavenly match, Blendz Express and the Classic Car Wash in Saratoga , located at 18560 Prospect Road in Saratoga .

For a refresher course, Blendz is an eight month old business created by owners Matt and Denise Phipps ' desire to find the best possible alternative to ordinary fast food, As the name implies, Blendz is a combination of quick, healthy fast food, designed for everybody from the biggest couch potato to the most avid athlete, and all in between. Not long after opening their first location in Downtown Campbell at the corner of First St. and Campbell Ave, the Phipps' dreams of catering to large audiences at a time began to take shape, with the creation of a kiosk-style location at a place where the people traffic, literally, was at its best. The Classic Car Wash is indeed a classic of the Bay Area, having been around for over twenty years, and in the hot hours of summer and fall it provides exceptional service for up to 800 cars a day, and Matt and Denise are excited to be partnered with such a success.

Driving into the Saratoga mainstay, a welcoming sight comes into view: a large, outdoor tent, and underneath, a large counter supplying fresh, delicious smoothies, hot grilled panini (Italian-style grilled sandwiches), and an array of delicious espresso and coffee drinks, found exclusively at the Blendz Express location. Just keep in mind, this is no ordinary kiosk. Walking into the first Blendz location in Campbell, visitors are presented with an array of colors: purple, green, black and silver. The fresh, cool look of the place compliments the freshness and vitality of the products that it offers. Walking up to the newest location while your car is being attended to, you are struck with the same fresh, healthy demure of this unique business, starting with the colors and the model of the cart; it is designed to look just like the counter at the main store. And what is it that this Express has to offer? Blendz Express is the new, "ultra" quick-serve version of Blendz, delivering a smaller, consolidated menu of their now famous smoothies, panini, and espresso, while continuing to duplicate the entire Blendz experience; Blendz is the new alternative to ordinary fast food is printed on their main piece of signage, hanging at the new location. To add to the experience, they offer the same unparalleled customer service in a totally different environment. People come from all over the area, often on lunch breaks, sometimes going to and from work, and many people come on the weekends, to get their cars washed clean. Now there is another reason to visit this strip located right near Prospect High School , off of Lawrence Expressway.

Location, location, location: a business mantra. To simply state that the location in Saratoga is good for business is an understatement. The street is a catalyst of a marketplace. Wheel Works, Kragen Auto Parts, PW Market, Westgate Shopping Center , Prospect High School and Orchard Supply Hardware are just some of the businesses in the area gearing up for the increased numbers of consumers that warm, sunny weather brings, and the Classic Car Wash/Blendz Express tandem is no exception. In pushing the alternative to ordinary fast food, Blendz Express is expanding its reach by offering specials to businesses close by. Who doesn't have time for a quick, delicious lunch or smoothie? The Blendz Express offers five smoothies, one of the most popular being a smoothie made with the ever-popular drink Red Bull, called the Red Bull Blendz. Chicken, turkey, four-cheese, and breakfast style panini are ready for the eating, for those who enjoy a hot sandwich, on the run (or drive). Adding espresso to the line-up has been an added value, while providing delicious mochas, lattes, cappuccinos, and the often-requested white mocha or vanilla latte to the people in colder weather.

There is a certain element to eating healthy that implies it can't taste that good. Visiting Blendz virtually destroys that theory, and the Blendz Express at the Classic Car Wash is no exception. While a fresh tossed-to-order salad and a few other foods that are available at Blendz in Campbell can't be found at the Blendz Express, what can be found sticks with the Blendz drive for excellence in taste, quality, and customer service. Feel free to relax, sit at the table there, read the paper, have a smoothie, a panino, a cup of good old fashioned joe, then a match made in heaven can be truly experienced.
